Reading

Reading must take place at least 3 times a week for 20 minutes. All children have a book at school and should have a book at home also, for continuous reading practise.

To help you support your child with reading, please have a look at the following 'Reading Cycle' document. This document will help you to cover different reading skills on different days, which can be repeated weekly. You can choose a text at the beginning of each week, this text should be used for the entire week alongside the document provided.

You can also use the questioning in the document alongside a book you are reading at home with the children.
