Update 08.01.2021

Thank you to everybody who was able to join the zoom call earlier today. I was so impressed by the children's behaviour! It was great to see so many of you. You should now all have received an email with the virtual link for our maths and English lessons next week. I apologise about the first incorrect maths one, please delete that. (I will get better at this!)

The sessions will last approximately 30 minutes. I will then stay online incase anyone has any questions about the work I have been teaching.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

Take care,

Mrs Todd.

Update 07.01.2021

I am going to do a trial run with all the children tomorrow (Friday 8th January) on zoom. This will take place at 1:45, so please look out for an email at 1:30 inviting the children to the zoom call. This won't be a lesson, or maybe it will, just to ensure we all know what we are doing (mainly myself). I will activate the call at 1:45 so there may be a screen if you join earlier that says waiting for host - that is me! I will have to add everyone individually, and as I have not done this before, I am not sure how quick I will be.

As I said this is just a trial run, it won't be a lesson and I will read the children a story. Please could children set their mic to mute as it may become very noisy. There is a response button that the children can press with the icon raise hand, and I will try to let them all speak, I'm hoping for full attendance, but that could mean over 40 children.

See you tomorrow

Mrs Todd.

Update 06/01/2021

I have now started to receive updated emails from all. I will send you a confirmation email that I have received your emails as soon as I can.

I want to take this opportunity to confirm that we will be using Zoom as the virtual platform for our 'virtual lessons'. Zoom is the most universal programme, which can be accessed on laptops, phones and tablets. There is also a Zoom app, which can be downloaded free of charge for Apple and Android products. From Monday, I will be sending video links for each lesson to the emails you have provided, which will also include a password to access the lesson. On Monday I will use the first virtual meeting to have a discussion around how the virtual lessons will work.

If you have any other questions in the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact me on the email address below.

Take care,

Mrs Todd.
