School Council
At Wellington, we value children’s contributions and ideas. The School Council gives children an opportunity to take on responsibility and contribute to the community and school improvement by sharing opinions and suggestions. These are very much encouraged and children in all year groups are invited to take on roles with differing responsibility within the school.
Our school council is made up of 2 representatives from each class in the school. We meet each half term with a clear agenda to discuss ongoing issues and allow pupils to have a voice. Before a school council meeting, we gather ideas from our peers so we have things to discuss and then, after a meeting, we feed back to the rest of our class with the discussion points and any actions.
